A short summer break . . .

No news here, really, just an announcement to keep my readers up to date.  The weather has warmed up considerably in the past week and I’m spending as little time in my apartment as possible (wrap-around windows and no building-wide circulation make the dog days particularly distressing), so Wtf-Film will be on a brief hiatus.  I’ll be taking a cue from Summer Tor and keeping cool for the next few days.

As for what’s in the pipeline, I’ve just received Joy, Joy and Joan and Loose Screws: Screwballs II from Severin films and still have Larry Blamire’s Dark and Stormy Night to cover for Shout! Factory.  Thanks to Netflix I’ve also caught sight of Sony’s new Blu-ray of the Harryhausen classic Jason and the Argonauts and Olive Films’ Crack in the World.  As though that weren’t enough to keep me busy for a week or so, I’m also waiting on Arrow Video’s stacked special edition Blu-ray of the Fulci masterwork City of the Living Dead.  Whew!

Look for new reviews to start posting next week.  Until then, enjoy that summer sun and stay clear of those pesky nuclear testing sites…

Try to stay cool, sir. I know exactly how it’s going for you… although I’m afraid I can’t really leave my place for cooler pastures.
