I don’t even know that it’s playing at all in the USA at the moment – it was here in Minneapolis for two weeks, not that there was any advertising to let anyone know and the theatre I saw it in was empty save for myself and three or four others. The official site is no help at all as far as figuring out if it’s still playing and where.

I suspect most are going to have to wait for the eventual home video release for this one.

This is just too unfair. I’ve been dying to see this movie for months, and Paramount Vantage gives it such a horrible advertising campaign and then doesn’t even show it in the big cities. It didn’t even get a limited release. It got a half-assed-just-to-recoup-losses-that-haven’t-even-occured-yet release. I’m so pissed!
If ANYONE knows about ANY showings in NYC or the tri state area, say something. PLEASE!

Yeah – I fancy Paramount Vantage will be putting this one out on home video in a hurry just to try and recoup some of their expenses. So far they haven’t made enough at the box office to pay for the number of film prints they’ve minted, much less the production costs.

For those in Minnesota, this is playing Coon Rapids, Eagan, and Inver Grove Heights through next week as well – check your local listings for times, but most of the theaters look like they’re only doing one or two shows of it per day.

At least in cases like this we can hope on a timely DVD publication, which won’t be much of a comfort for the filmmakers, of course, but at least ensures the film won’t get truly lost.

If I’ve convinced one person to give it a chance, then I’ve done my job. I just hope more people decide to check it out before it’s too late – the theatre here is only playing it once a day, at 12:20 in the afternoon [worst timeslot ever to try and sell a picture].

Awful as the trailers are, Paramount isn’t even using them on national media that I can tell. Given the 350 votes this has at IMDB, I just don’t think people know it’s out there to see.

The mysteries of marketing. I’ll never understand why the big studios find it helpful to sell their films to an audience who won’t care for them, when there’s a perfectly fine one who would appreciate them.
Without your review, I’d still think this was your standard zombie film and put off watching it for something like a decade.
